@Saffi Ann. To use Jason's message as a springboard. If it's possible you'd not have a better book to join our book group on because the April selection is the award winning James Tiptree, Jr.: The Double Life of Alice Sheldon by Julie Phillips. Our group's usual selections are not biographies, but this came up as the group's selection for more than a few reasons, the excellence of this text, a few months ago our group's selection was Her Smoke Rose Up Forever an anthology of short fiction by Tiptree, and for our group's very second reading way back in fall 2006 we read, Houston, Houston do you Read? by Tiptree.

I stopped by your Windycon suite a few years back, and was really glad to see an active group of fans. I've never been able to stop by any of the monthly socials because of my work schedule. Anyway, I'm glad this group exists.

Howdy,

I'm new to the boards and (relatively) new to Chicago. I look forward to swapping book suggestions and movie lists folks here.

Welcome, fellow Hyde Parker.
